CASCADES OPERATOR - SEASONAL
The Jackson County Parks Department is hiring operators for Cascade Falls and Splash Pad facility. Must be a minimum of 18 years old. Mechanically-inclined with effective communication skills and ability to work independently. Available to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the facility, including available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
A variety of shifts are available; Hours range from 20 - 40 hours per week
Cascade Falls is open 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily.
Required schedule includes three firework shows: Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July holiday and Labor Day weekend
Seasonal positions are not eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Event Center/Cascades Manager: Operates, maintains and clean components related to The Cascade and Splash Pad facility. Performing custodial cleaning duties related to all facilities related to The Cascades.
1. Operate, maintain and clean mechanical components of the Cascade Falls and Splash Pad
2. Responsible for music and light show entertainment controls.
3. Conduct hourly cleaning rounds of the facility, including restrooms, splash pad and falls area.
4. Provide outstanding customer service to Cascade Falls visitors.
5. Represent Jackson County Parks with a friendly, positive attitude.
6. Initial rule education and enforcement.
7. General assistance to the public.
8. Maintain and clean bathrooms daily.
9. Prepare incident/accident reports, fee reports, attendance forms, deposit forms, etc.
10. Operate a cash register proficiently, as well as warming and heating equipment (microwave, popcorn machine etc.)
Physically active position
Position requires long periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, pulling, and pushing.
