Market Head, Meetings Management (m/f/d), BCD Meetings & Events Sweden
Full time, Stockholm, Sweden
(Working collaboratively from our office, with some ability to work virtual as operations allow)
You are responsible for leadership, management, staffing and fiscal budgeting of BCD Meetings & Events the Sweden. You set the strategy for growth, standards and initiatives and goals for the teams. You will motivate personnel to meet and exceed these goals.
A SNAPSHOT OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
• Develop and maintain annual business plan for overall event team as well as specific team annual goals/objectives
• Develop, implement and enforce department service level standards
• Motivate, coach and develop employees and provide coaching and feedback for development
• P&L management
• Forecasts revenue and staffing, reviews financial reports, makes decisions that are in line with the budget, and makes changes to improve productivity and financial performance
• Engage with clients and gain trust and credibility and ensure operational excellence
• Maintain and increase revenues by means of new client acquisition, existing client expansion and retention and ensure opportunity for client up-selling engagements
HOW YOU CAN SET YOURSELF APART
• Proficient in managing teams and departments
• A successful history in a leadership capacity in the meetings and events industry
• P&L experience
• Profound knowledge & skill in the management of account and client relationships
• A history of working with both domestic and international group travel is preferred
• Good command of Swedish language and a highly proficiency in spoken and written English
• Capable of thinking in an innovative, strategically and conceptually manner
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios
