Finance and Outsourcing team :Director / Associate Director 1 position - Gaborone branch

Responsibilities include:
Developing and growing the Finance and Outsourcing team which includes:
⦁ Achieving the divisional targets and ensuring the optimal utilisation of managers, executives and staff to achieve profitability on assignments and quality deliverables.
⦁ Supporting the team and ensuring timely and quality deliverables to client and day to day project management. Maintain both internal and external client relationships.
⦁ Taking a key role towards the business development initiatives including planning and preparation of business.
⦁ Mentoring team members, identifying areas of development, and coordinating training initiatives within the division. Review performance appraisal for team members for their growth and development. Assist with recruitment, selection and induction of new team members, working in conjunction with People and Culture team.
⦁ Responsible for overall engagement and management process.
⦁ Leading training initiatives within the team and where required across the firm.
⦁ Responsible for management information systems reporting and data analytics report on business progress and key areas of focus. Be involved in strategic direction of the finance function to enable effective performance management. Responsible for time costing monitoring and task analysis for effective project management; The applicant if selected will be reporting directly to the Managing Partner.

Qualification, experience and skills:
⦁ Candidate should have a professional qualification BICA / CA / ACCA / CIMA / ICWA and a minimum of 15 years’ post-qualification experience.
⦁ The applicant must be assertive, self-driven, creative, decisive and possess multi-tasking ability and leadership qualities to meet up to the expectations on the role.
⦁ The potential candidate should also have excellent people management skills, with strong drive and confidence to take charge of the growth of the team.
⦁ Prior work experience either in CA firm or any accounting-related work would be given preference.

Competencies candidate must have:
⦁ People management skills, effective presentation, negotiation skills, business development and leadership skills.
⦁ Technical requirements/skills - Demonstrated good working knowledge on IFRS / IFRS for SMEs / Botswana GAAP; demonstrate good working knowledge of enterprise resource planning packages integrated with accounting and finance function, knowledge of Botswana TaxationA/AT and employee-based section of taxation and labour laws; good data analytical and financial statement analytical skills; Excellent computer skills with expert knowledge of various Microsoft products and CaseWare working papers. Working knowledge of payroll packages like VIP etc. and accounting package like pastel, great soft and Xero software will be an added advantage
