We are an independent international engineering and project management consultancy leading the way in sustainable development and innovation.What you do as a Senior Civil Eng : Waste Water Treatment : Detail design of gravity sewerage networks, trunk outfall sewers, pressurised pipelines and pumpstations for conveyance and distribution of wastewater.The detailed design of waste-water treatment works, with a comprehensive understanding of wastewater and sludge treatment processes.Preparation of detailed concept and detail design reports.Proposal preparation, including drafting of technical methodologies and/or approach papers.Undertaking (pre- and detailed-) feasibility studies, applying technical and financial criteria and drafting feasibility study reports.Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams on complex projects ensuring tasks are distributed to team members and ensuring quality of deliverables by apply Information management principals.Detailed design review and approval of project deliverables using digital workflows and processes this includes 3D models drawings, reports, BOQs, specifications, etc.Using company standard collaboration and coordination tools in line with our Digital Ways of Working.Proactively liaising with project managers and client's representatives, managing expectations and communicating alternatives, deviations and issues encountered during design.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians on engineering design and software usage. You will join our team in South Africa, but you will be in contact with different kinds of Advisory Groups in the Company. You will be located in our office in Johannesburg, Gauteng ,South Africa. Profil recherché pour le poste : Senior Civil Eng: Waste Water Treatment B.Eng/B.Sc. Civil Engineering with 12+ years in the relevant fieldProfessional registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng) Essential.M.Sc – Would be advantageous.Proof of training and implementation of ISO standardsDesign focussed with a focus on system oriented thinkingGood understanding of sewer reticulation network and trunk outfall sewer design parameters and hydraulics.Good understanding of outputs from specialized process treatment designs and ability to translate this into detailed construction drawings and specifications for various disciplines.Comprehensive understanding of wastewater treatment works hydraulics for the development of process flow diagrams, hydraulic profiles and input into P&ID diagrams.Ability to work with and apply a wide variety of codes and standards and compile and review project specifications.Leading multi-disciplinary teams on sanitation projects and briefing team members on scope of work and overseeing coordination of design using ISO standards.BIM implementation – Creating/using BEPs, MIDP and TIDPs with applying CDE principals. Experience in the following software and applications : Experience with hydraulic analysis software doing extended period analysis and EPANET as the backbone of analysis software packages advantagesExperience with using surge analysis software such as KYPipe and/or Bentley’s OpenFlow HAMMER would be advantageousWorking knowledge of Revit and Civil 3DExperience in using Devotech iDAS will be advantageousUsing tools such as BIM, Revizto, and ASite for design coordination and reviewCompetence in using PowerBI or similar packages is advantageousScripting, workflow automation and programming is advantageousKnowledge of GIS packages and integration is advantageous.
