Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The Monitoring Evaluation Manager will be responsible to provide leadership, technical expertise, guidance, and support for the project’s monitoring and evaluation function and learning system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide support in developing the monitoring and evaluation plan and in designing quarterly, semi-annual and annual work plans.
- Develop the existing system to collect data and update periodically: Design monitoring tools, and data collection tools, monitor project activities, outputs, and progress. Provide training to executing partners and protected area managers and provide coaching.
- Analysis of database and report: determine data analysis procedures / analyze data/summarize findings/ develop reports depending on project requirements.
- Monitor the implementation of the work plan with partners through the quarterly, semi-annual plan.
- Develop the first draft of the quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports with partners.
- Manage data for socio-economic survey, gender, and grievance mechanism. WORKING CONDITIONS

- This position is based in Antsiranana, Madagascar.
- National candidates will only be considered.
- Frequently travel in the site area. QUALIFICATIONS

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Biology forestry, natural resource management, or similar.
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in conducting monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning and strong knowledge of the participatory process.
- Skills in database management and analysis.
- Experience and training with monitoring technology and software.
- Ability to speak and write in French and English.
- Knowledge in marine protected area management.
- General experience in environmental and natural resource management and social assessment. Preferred
