I love to spend hours in museums reading about the artwork and artifacts and listening to the audio guides but I'm afraid I won't understand if it's all in Japanese.

It should say online! Big museums usually have multilingual guides, including Chinese and Korean, but some of the smaller ones may not. I always checked before visiting :)
