How do you say husband in Japanese?

I've heard so many ways? Danna, otto...goshujin? Are they used differently?

They all mean husband. but you can't say "otto" about someone else's husband when talking to that person, just your own. The original meaning of shujin means head of household or something like that so I feel some people don't use it anymore to talk about their husbands but a lot still do.To me, danna seems more intimate!! My boyfriend wants me to say danna when we get married!?
