Guinness World Record Breaking Rides!!
Fuji-Q Highland opened in 1969 along the natural landscapes of Mt. Fuji. With around 40 types of rides including several “World’s Best”s, it brings thrills and excitement to visitors of all ages. Here, we present the rides that have broken world records.

Do-Dodonpa
Presently the World’s Fastest Accelerating Roller Coaster is the thrilling and gut-wrenching speed ride Do-dodonpa. When the ride first opened, it also bagged the World’s Largest Loop record but has since been usurped by newer rides.
How fast is it? According to its Guinness Profile, Do-dodonpa can reach 172.03km/hour in 1.8 seconds from a standstill. Its best personal record though is 180km/hour in just 1.56 seconds.
How big is its loop? Do-dodonpa has a loop diameter of 39.7m. For comparison, the current record holder for largest loop is 42.52m. That’s not a whole lot of difference is it.

Eejainaka
Experience an explosive surge of adrenaline with the 4-dimensional hypercoaster ride, Eejainaka. This ride currently holds TWO Guinness World Records! One for tallest, and one for fastest 4D Roller Coaster.
What is a 4D Roller Coaster? A fourth dimension roller coaster incorporates independent horizontal rotations into the ride. In layman terms, instead of sitting upright the whole time, you will go spinning. That’s right. The Eejanaika has 360° rotations. You can experience up to 14 rotations per ride.
Fast and tall, not to mention spinning around! Grab on tight as this is one wild ride!

Fujiyama Coaster
Fujiyama King of Coasters is the pride and joy of Fuji Q. Upon its first opening in 1996, the King proudly claimed 5 world titles for tallest and fastest roller coaster, tallest and fastest complete circuit roller coaster, and longest roller coaster drop. It can be said that the Fujiyama Coaster was an inspiration that brought about a wave of greater, better modern roller coasters.
A classic roller coaster that stands out even amongst its successors. One of the best things about King Coaster is the view of Mt. Fuji as you’re tossed around in your seat. Enjoy (?) the view of Mt. Fuji as you shriek your lungs out. The best view is when you reach the highest point on the ride.

Takabisha
When it first opened in 2011, Takabisha broke the Guinness World Record for World’s Steepest Steel Roller Coaster. It carried the title proudly up till 2019 when it was superseded. Keeping up to its name, Takabisha is a ride full of (un-)expectations. From sudden stops to quick acceleration, instant drops and twists and turns, throw predictability of roller coaster rides out the window with this “jumpscare” ride.
How steep is it? Takabisha has a drop point of 121°. Its successor to the world record beat it by a mere 0.5°. Still the 2nd steepest roller coaster in the world, don’t miss out on this thriller ride!

Thrilling Rides That Make You Go AHHHHH!
Is your heart still pumping hard in your chest while adrenaline is still rushing through your veins? That’s too bad because there’s no time to stop with other exciting rides!
Panic Clock
The concept of this ride is pretty much a panicking clock. Imagine a clock going haywire with its needles spinning around haphazardly. Now imagine you’re clinging on to that needle getting spun around in circles, sometimes clockwise, sometimes anti-clockwise. And there you go, that’s the general idea of this ride.
This vertical ride is around 21.5 meters tall. After being spun around a few times, you may even find yourself being suspended upside down in midair. Feel your belly drop and panic descend with Panic (O’)Clock.

Cool Jappaan
A nice way to cool off especially if you’re visiting in summer is the refreshing wet ride called Cool Jappaan (no, this is not a misspelling). After being spun around in a classic roller coaster ride, end in a less than classic way as you splash down into pools of water. If you’re wondering whether the water is clean, apparently it’s naturally sourced from Mt. Fuji and includes healthy minerals. For those not keen on getting wet, raincoats are available nearby.

It is a highly rated spot for romantic confessions and proposals for engagement.
